At Berber Cave, sustainability is woven into the very fabric of our operations. In the world of handmade Moroccan products, adapting to eco-friendly practices isn’t a shift—it’s our origin. Our business was born inherently sustainable. We waste nothing, utilizing every small scrap of leather and textile. Leftover materials are creatively repurposed into smaller products, such as keychains, while fabric scraps are transformed into Boucherouite rugs—vibrant rag rugs traditionally made by Berber women from old fabric and clothing.
Furthermore, we prepare and transport materials like leather, wool, and wood using electric bikes for our daily visits to artisans. This approach ensures that each order is crafted with precision while minimizing our environmental impact. By reducing our carbon footprint in this way, we commit to a sustainable operation that respects both our heritage and our planet.
